Aunt Gladys

The woman Jan calls "Aunt Gladys" may not be her real aunt, just as James James may not be her real father -- Gladys may not even be her real name. Gladys used to serve in the Marine Corps with her brother,¹ and has the same unusual background that he does (namely, that they were SPARTAN-1s).² She outranks him, too.³

In response to Jan's plea that she be allowed to use her abilities for something,⁴ Gladys takes Jan to a shady "moon" parlor where she interferes with Thin's attempt to skin Paolo.⁵
