Bungie Studios (http://www.bungie.net) is a software company started in 1991 as an independant game developer for the Apple platform. It was bought in 1999 by Microsoft and incorporated as a division of Microsoft Game Studios on the basis of its Halo game then under development.

ILB has direct references to Halo storyline material. The seed website was also mentioned in the trailer for Halo 2, the much-anticipated sequel to Halo scheduled for release in November 9, 2004. (November 11 in the UK.)
