From ILB

Table of contents

Introduction

This is the 3rd set of puzzles we received on the 28th. The Sleeping Princess was captured by Melissa after receiving confidential tips from Weephun. She now needs help escaping once again. See this thread (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6808&start=60&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=) for the progress of the puzzle-solving.

Solved Puzzle

Step 1

The Sleeping Princess, upon a successful connection to her through Melissa's "breaking down," eventually describes three paths to take to guide her home. This first conversation occurred with Trynian (see here (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=78189#78189)).

Step 1b

At one point, Melissa was warned about the Princess's communications while she was 'broken down'. At this point, Melissa placed a mirror on the path. When the Princess came to it, the answer was to avoid it, or break it, in order to continue on. Just don't look in the mirror.

Step 2

This leads to the next step, in order:

There are:

COMPASS has been attempted, and is incorrect.
Possibly these are 'one of these does not belong' puzzles?

Note that the Princess sees a mirror here also, and must be told to break it, or not to look into it, to move on.

Step 3

The next -- and final -- choice:
