Rani's boyfriend. Nick meets Rani at the wedding of Rani's cousin Sarah-John and his friend Jason.¹ They make out in a cemetery,² and Nick leaves 11 hours later. He is posted to an orbital platform.³

Rani fears that he will be killed and that she won't be the person who is notified.⁴
