Quite likely he isn't. I'm assuming that Standish (now in-game!) wouldn't knowingly call him by an alias. As an aside, "herzog" has an interesting meaning (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=herzog): it's German for "duke", and the surname of a notable Israeli military intelligence officer during their Six-Day War. I wonder how well this matches up with the noble intentions Herzog has been airing in his axon clips? --Anton P. Nym 19:58, 24 Sep 2004 (EDT)

Just had another wild idea... I think that Herzog works for ONI Section Zero. Standish and he show animosity towards each other, and Herzog does have considerable intelligence background, and according to Captain Greene in the Phase_2_Operator's_Monologue "Zero's wanted Standish forever."
