The conflict mentioned in the article isn't necessarily a conflict. If Kamal was in a modern-day setting, according to a Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physician) on current American medical training, he could be a medical resident. He wouldn't necessarily be a permanent resident yet (and hence doesn't consider himself "done with school and all that") but he has technically finished med school. Imprecise language, to be sure, but not really a conflict. -- Clamatius 20:59, 14 Sep 2004 (EDT)

There's another possible interpretation for "residency". An immigrant to the US must apply for a residency permit, either for a term or a Lawful Permanent Residency (http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/residency/). The apparent conflict is resolved in lucky_me.wav, so I've updated the main page. Kamal finished med school, but never went on to a residency. -- Shadow 15:18, 5 Oct 2004 (EDT)
